We pride ourselves in being a force for good in our wider community. One of the ways we do this is through corporate social responsibility - a framework that lets us give back, where good causes need it most.

Our purpose

Our ambition is to build a fairer and more prosperous world by supporting the sustainable performance of our clients, caring for our people and local communities, and preserving the environment.

Our strategy

This strategy is focused on five key pillars:

  • Upholding our values of integrity and responsibility
    Guided by our code of conduct and the foundational values of our firm, we recognise our role in serving the public interest. ​As an authentic, responsible firm, we rely on our values to deliver quality services to our clients while also creating a positive impact on our people, the planet and society at large.
  • Putting people at the heart of our development
    We strive to support the growth and development of our people by offering them lifelong learning opportunities, reinforcing their potential and designing careers that fit their aspirations. We focus on developing technical and leadership skills whilst fostering a more inclusive and diverse workplace that is fit for the future, where people have a sense of belonging and can make meaningful contributions by being themselves.Our people strategy therefore focuses on three key areas: empowering our people to grow and lead, diversity and inclusion, and learning and culture.
  • Contributing to local communitiesCommunity engagement and impact encompasses our work to improve social and economic conditions in the communities where we operate. We believe in using our skills and expertise to solve social challenges through a hands-on approach. 
    As a knowledge-intensive firm, we leverage education as a a vehicle to make a tangible difference in people's lives, empowering them through the necessary skills and knowledge to access a better future.
  • Reducing our environmental impact 
    As our world faces an existential crisis due to rising global temperatures, every individual and entity has a role to play, including Mazars. ​With our global partnership, we will continue to work to preserve the environment and fight climate change by taking robust actions to reduce our carbon footprint in line with climate science and the goal of a net-zero future.
  • Supporting clients on their sustainability journey
    We have grown a full suite of sustainability capabilities, covering environmental, social and governance assurance and advisory services, to support organisations on their journey to sustainability. Our dedicated sustainability team has the expertise to help clients contribute to a stronger and more sustainable economy for tomorrow.

Our strategy and actions are also designed and implemented to contribute directly towards the advancement of nine of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

On April 5, 2024, Finance Minister Michael McGrath launched a Feedback Statement (FS) on the proposed implementation of a Participation Exemption for foreign dividends within the Irish tax system. The FS invites feedback from interested parties on a “Strawman Proposal” developed for the implementation of the Participation Exemption.
