The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) is Ireland's national energy authority under the Sustainable Energy Act 2002. SEAI's mission is to play a leading role in transforming Ireland into a society based on sustainable energy structures, technologies and practices. The Government is investing €8 billion of Exchequer funds to 2030, and SEAI is responsible for administrating schemes in support of Government’s objectives. The Organisation is currently in a rapid and ambitious phase of growth, which will see the staff base increase from 137 direct staff to approximately 250 by 2023.
The SEAI’s vision is to drive Ireland’s sustainable energy transformation for the benefit of society. SEAI has a key role in driving Ireland’s energy transformation and will ultimately play a significant part in helping Ireland to achieve the targets that have been set both in legislation and the Climate Action Plan.

The Role
The Head of Human Resources & Organisational Development will be a key contributor to the delivery of the SEAIs climate action targets. This is a really exciting opportunity for a dynamic HR professional to be part of a very important period in Ireland’s transition to a carbon neutral society. A core part of the role of the Head of Human Resources, will be to implement the Authority’s new People Strategy, grow the HR team and support the organisation and its staff as they grow and develop.
The Person
The individual appointed will have an in-depth understanding of his/her specific professional areas including operational knowledge of employment law legislation. They will need to be someone who can operate effectively and efficiently in a continually developing and changing context and be capable of motivating others to embrace change.
