Mazars supports the 22nd Galway Science & Technology Festival

Mazars is delighted to support the 22nd Galway Science & Technology Festival which runs from 11th – 24th November. Recognised as one of Ireland’s leading festivals for the promotion of STEMM (science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine), the theme for this year’s festival is ‘Climate Action’.

The Festival brings STEMM-related workshops, shows and presentations to over 30,000 students in 150 schools throughout the city and county and culminates with a fantastic final day Exhibition that attracts c.22,000 people to engage in fun-filled STEM events on Sunday, the 24th November at NUI Galway campus.

Paul Mee, Chairperson, Galway Science and Technology Festival and Tax Partner, Mazars Galway, said “Galway continues to build a strong reputation as a significant global med-tech hub, and Mazars serves biotech, technology and pharma companies in the Mid-West Region and we’re thrilled high profile organisations like Medtronic, NUIG, GMIT, Science Foundation Ireland, IDA Ireland, Boston Scientific, Creganna Medical, Merit Medical, Armour Interactive, Aerogen, CISCO, Mazars, Marine Institute, MathWorks and Enterprise Ireland, play a major role in supporting our Festival. The development of the Festival has played a positive role in nurturing and guiding students into careers in these sectors.”

The Festival is supported by a wide range of corporate partners, educational bodies, government agencies and research institutes. It’s a collaboration between local industry and education providers lead by a small team of volunteers from the wider Galway Science and Technology community.
