Data Protection & Information Security Manager - Dublin

The new Data Protection / Information Security Manager will join a growing team of strong technical and organisational governance and risk professionals working on a range of prestigious national and international client engagements.

Main Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Managing a portfolio of large Data Protection / Information Security consulting engagements of varying size, scope and complexity
  • Contribution to the development of our Data Protection / Information Security methodologies
  • Managing / guiding / reviewing junior staff work
  • Drafting Information Security reports including findings and recommendations
  • Liaising with Data Protection / Information Security staff and client management to ensure that all aspects of the engagement process are satisfactorily completed
  • Acting as part of the Data Protection / Information Security management team
  • Contributing to the development and training of Data Protection / Information Security staff
  • Managing deliverables and expectations as well as the quality of the fieldwork and deliverables prepared by more junior team members to ensure that deliverables meet Mazars quality standards

Principal Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of IT / Data Protection / Information Security experience in a professional services firm or industry
  • IT, systems, business, accounting or similar primary degree
  • A Data Protection or Information Security qualification or certification – CIPP/E, CISA, CISM or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of technology (applications, infrastructure, best practice, controls)
  • Ability to operate in a challenging and dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong technical background
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent organisational and planning capabilities
  • Strong oral, presentation and written communication skills

The following would also be an advantage:

  • Knowledge of COBIT, ISACA, ITIL, ISO 27001/27002/17799 standards
