Mazars advises Ocean Crest Marine on recent investment deal
Mazars was delighted to support Marcus Lally and his team at Ocean Crest Marine with tax advice on their recent deal with BGF.
BGF Ireland has completed a multi-million-euro investment into Ocean Crest Marine, a specialist marine plant hire business, becoming a significant minority shareholder. The investment will be used to support the growth of the business in Ireland and its expansion to the UK and beyond.
Headquartered in Galway, Ocean Crest Marine operates the largest fleet of “jack-up barges” in Ireland, which are used for a variety of marine construction projects, including offshore wind projects and geotechnical campaigns.
Commentating on the deal, Marcus Lally, Founder & CEO, Ocean Crest Marine said, “Delighted to welcome BGF on board as cornerstone investors in our business. Backed by Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, AIB and Bank of Ireland, BGF will add hugely to the company and our ability to successfully execute our ambitious plans for growth.”
