Mazars has elected independent non executives to its Group Governance Council.
Mazars first elected Denise Fletcher and Francois de Carbonnel as independent non executives to its Group Governance Council (GGC), which has between 8 and 16 elected members, in December 2011.
In December 2015, due to ill health, Francois was replaced by Christian de Juniac. The mandate of the independent non executives expires in December 2016.
The GGC is in charge of overseeing the proper functioning of the Mazars organisation worldwide and the independent non executives are expected to make a contribution to all aspects of its work. In particular one of the key objectives of their role is to enhance the confidence of our clients’ shareholders in the public interest aspects of the firm’s decision‐making, stakeholder dialogue and management of reputational risks including those in the firm’s businesses that are not effectively addressed by regulation.
