This event helped to educate the participants on Irelands Corporation Tax rate, R&D Tax Incentives in Ireland, Irelands economic environment post-recession and post-Brexit, the opportunities for MNCs to invest in Ireland and Ireland’s reputation in the food and pharma sectors for quality and compliance.

Speakers at this event were:

  • Gerry Vahey, Tax Partner, Mazars
  • David Duffy, Senior Research Officer, ESRI
  • Shay Power, Business Development Manager, IDA Life Science Division
  • Michael Gillen, Senior Health and Safety Policy Executive, IBEC

The global corporate strategy course at Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia focuses on the management of MNCs. While these international environments imply greater opportunities because MNCs have access to new markets and resources, they also imply greater organisational and managerial challenges. The aim of the course is to investigate whether these challenges are worth it and how they can contribute to a company’s “triple” bottom line.
