Budget Travel

Simon Coyle of Mazars, the Provisional Liquidator to Budget Travel has asked members of the public phoning the Budget Travel helpline on 01-6613122 to please be patient. We currently have 20 operators assisting members of the public with their enquiries but the volume of calls is very high and we are addressing customer concerns as quickly as we can. The initial focus this morning is on people who would have been travelling in the next few days. If you wish to contact us please email - budgettravel@mazars.ie

The following information may be of assistance to Budget Travel customers;

The following are the main categories of holidays:

  1. Packages where clients are abroad at present. See notes below.
  2. Packages where Budget operated chartered flights.
  3. Packages where Budget put together a scheduled flight plus accommodation etc
  4. Flight only arranged by Budget
  5. Third party Packages sold through Budget Travel Shops.

Examples:
American Holiday's/Sunway Holidays/Sunworld package sold through a Budget shop.

In the case of 2,3 and 4 above you will need to contact the helpline to find out the status of your booking. Otherwise you can forward your query by email. In the case of 5 you should contact the relevant tour operator. If you do not know who the operator is, please contact the helpline or forward your query by email (see details below).

A helpline has been established at Budget Travel to deal with queries from customers.
The number is 01-6613122.
The helpline is open between the hours of 10am and 3pm Monday to Friday.

EMAIL QUERIES:

If you are unable to access the helpline, you can email your query to budgettravel@mazars.ie .

It is important that you read the notes below before submitting any email query.

Passengers are being divided into the following two groups:

  • Those already abroad.
  • Those that have not yet travelled.

Clients who are abroad should include the following in the subject heading of the email:

  • State that you are abroad
  • Date of departure
  • Booking reference
  • Lead passenger name
  • Resort
  • Contact number

Insert your query in the main body of the email.

Clients with future bookings should include the following in the subject heading of the email:

  • Date of departure
  • Lead passenger name
  • Destination
  • Branch booking was made
  • Contact number

Passengers that have made bookings may be entitled to a refund from the bond. A Claim form should be downloaded from this site. Please see the cover note on the claim form for details. Refund claims will be prioritised by date of departure.

Budget vouchers that have not been exchanged against overseas travel contracts are not refundable from the bond and persons are advised to either claim a charge back if paid by credit card or otherwise file a claim with the liquidator Mr Simon Coyle of Mazars at budgettravel@mazars.ie
