Seminar on 'Major Gifts – developing strategies and managing reputational risk'

Co-hosted by CCS Fundraising and Mazars, the session will outline practical steps for securing major gifts as well as protecting and managing reputational risk in a fundraising environment. The event will focus on advice and ideas that can be put into practice regardless of your organisation’s size or type.

We will also be joined by Denise FitzgeraldCEO of Temple Street Children’s University Hospital Foundation, who will share her experience undertaking major donor fundraising.

About the Speakers: 

Denise Fitzgerald 

Denise Fitzgerald is the CEO of Temple Street Children’s University Hospital Foundation. Denise worked with Bank of Ireland Group for over 10 years and in 2005 Denise took up the role of CEO of the Temple Street Children’s Hospital Foundation. She is responsible for the strategic direction of the foundation, generating over €7 million annually to support the hospital. The foundation’s development operations have a mix of grass roots fundraising, events, corporate support and major gift philanthropy.Denise also serves as a Director of Charities Institute Ireland and Boardmatch Ireland.

Derval Costello

Derval Costello joined CCS in 1998 and manages CCS Europe, providing services to all sectors of the non-profit community. As part of the firm’s executive management team, Derval has designed and led many transformational campaigns. Working closely with our clients, she is involved in all aspects of the firm’s engagement from feasibility studies and development assessments to significant fundraising initiatives and leader coaching. Providing professional leadership in major donor identification, strategy development, volunteer relations and fundraising organisation, Derval has directed campaigns which have raised funds from corporations, foundations, trusts and individual philanthropists for capital projects, programme needs, endowment and start-up organisations.

Justin Moran

Justin Moran is a Director in the governance, risk and internal controls practice in Mazars.  He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and a Certified Information Systems Auditor. He has over 14 years’ experience in advising organisations in the specialist areas of corporate governance, risk management and internal audit.
