Jim is owner-manager of Jim Power Economics Limited, an economic and financial consultancy. The company carries out consultancy projects, public speaking, and training for a variety of public and private sector entities. Jim is Chief Economist to Friends First Group and was previously Treasury Economist at AIB (1987-1991) and Chief Economist at Bank of Ireland Group Treasury (1992-2000). He is the author of the SIMI/DoneDeal Motor Industry Review and Friends First Quarterly Economic Outlook. Jim is also Chairman of Love Irish Food and investment firm Three Rock Capital, and he is a Board Member of Agri-Aware. Jim also lectures on the MSc Management at Smurfit School of Business, UCD.
Danny McCoy is Chief Executive Officer of Ibec, a post he assumed in July 2009. Prior to joining Ibec he was a senior economist at both the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) and the Central Bank of Ireland. He has held lecturing posts at Dublin City University, University College London, University of Oxford and Trinity College Dublin. Danny has been a consultant for the European Commission and the OECD. He is a member of the Irish National Competitiveness Council and the Export Trade Council.
