Mazariades - Socialising doesn't just take place at a national level!

At Mazars we recognise the need for a balance between work and play. Our sports and social committee organise many sporting, cultural and social events throughout the year. These events range from annual outings such as the Summer BBQ and Christmas party to department nights out and post examination celebrations.

Monthly firm events during the summer months include the evening meetings at Leopardstown and Shelbourne Park for the greyhound racing and during the winter months events such as ice skating at the RDS, bowling and of course the Christmas parties. We also organise an event in November to welcome our new trainees to the firm and also encourage newcomers to contribute ideas for future events.

Mazariades

Our people also participate in many sporting events during the year, the highlight being "Mazariades", an annual sporting tournament uniting sports teams from all Mazars' European offices. Mazariades 2008 was held in Frankfurt in Germany.
This event, which was held in the Netherlands in 2007 and Spain in 2006 is held in a different European location each year and includes a variety of sporting events and competitions including Volleyball and Tennis for the girls and Football and Tennis for the guys. This weekend away is subsidised by the firm and is a great opportunity to get to know both your fellow workmates in a social setting as well as staff from the other European offices. When the sports events have ended for the day, entertainment is provided by the host country in the form of a gala dinner with food and music.

Corporate Social Responsibility

At Mazars we are very aware of our Corporate Social responsibility and as such we contribute to a number of charities throughout the year, which are always enjoyable and an excuse to get together. One of our key annual events is the completion of the Four Peaks Challenge of climbing the highest peak in each province in one weekend. This is an immensely enjoyable event for all involved and an opportunity for us to work together to support those that are less fortunate than us. We are looking for new members to recruit to our Four Peaks Team!
